Album of the Month: Polydans

POLYDANS.jpg

Ladies and gents,

We are back this month with our Album of the Month pick for February.

As a reminder, these picks will range from new records to older ones.

Our February Pick is ‘Polydans’ by Roosevelt

Polydans is the third and highly anticipated album from Marius Laubel, the German producer and songwriter who created major buzz from his self-titled 2016 release which included charting singles, ‘Fever’ and ‘Night Moves.’

As a kid, Marius grew up playing several instruments, but decided to pursue music production by following his two biggest inspirations, Caribou and Toro Y Moi. Since then, he has had major headway, signing with City Slang and touring with the likes of Hot Chip, TEED, and Crystal Fighters.

On this 10 track record, Marius remains true to his signature disco-pop sound from the synth-heavy ‘Echoes’ to closing with the record’s first single ‘Signs.’

There’s one thing that Roosevelt has mastered over the recent years and that’s knowing how to keep us dancing.

Here are a few of our favorite songs:

  • Signs

  • See You Again

  • Echoes

We think you’ll love Roosevelt, if you love these artists:

  • Hot Chip

  • Franc Moody

  • Amtrac
